Terms & Condition of Harmoni Charity Run 2015
 

1. The Harmoni Charity Run 2015 (“the event”) is organised by Pertubuhan Pendidikan Kanak-kanak Istimewa Harmoni Cheras, Selangor. (“the organiser”) with the full support of Majlis Perbandaran Kajang ("MPKJ”) and the Harmoni Charity Run 2015 Rules and Regulations.

2. The Organiser reserves the right to modify or substitute any of these rules and regulations of the Event from time to time as they deem fit. If there is ambiguity in any of the provisions, the Organiser shall be the authority to interpret and in doing so, the Organiser will take into account the interests of all the affected participants. Any updates on the rules and regulations of the event will be notified on the official website, http://harmonicharityrun.wix.com/eventpage and it is the responsibility of the affected participant to keep abreast with any changes

3. Completion of the official entry form, including online registration, confirms the Participant’s agreement to abide by all the relevant rules and regulations of the Organiser.

4. Registration for the race is only confirmed upon payment made and upon issuance of a race identification number.

5. The registration fees for Malaysian Residents are in MYR.

6. In consideration of the Participant’s use of the Event’s website, the Participant agrees to provide true, accurate, current and complete information about the Participant contained in any registration form (such information being the “Registration data”)

7. The Organiser may contact the Participant from time to time by email. Any notice sent to the email address registered with the Organiser shall be deemed as received by the Participant.

8. The Organiser reserves the right to cancel the Event at any time without prior notice to the Participant, in which case the Organiser will make effort to inform the Participant prior to the date of the event. If the Event has to be cancelled, there shall be no refund of fees paid unless the Organiser deems fit to give a refund and the Organiser shall not be held liable for any loss or inconvenience caused.

9. There will strictly be no fee refund if the event is cancelled for reason of force majeure i.e. due to occurrence of incidents that are beyond the control of the Organiser or acts of God which renders it impossible or unsafe to hold the event.

10. The Organiser reserves the right to amend the Event race routes as they deem fit for the safety of the Participants and/or to prevent any potential hazards in the running of the Event, at any time without prior notice to the Participant. In such cases, every effort will be made to inform the Participant prior to the date of the Event. The Organiser shall not be held liable for any loss or inconvenience caused due to such changes.

11. While every reasonable precaution will be taken by the Organiser to ensure the participants’ safety, participants run solely at their own risk and the Organiser will not be responsible or held liable for any injury or death howsoever arising from training for, during, or after participation in the Event.

12. Participants must wear the assigned bib on his/her chest. Participants who do not display bib numbers will be taken off the course by security officers/officials and immediately disqualified.

13.  Road closures on the Route will be lifted after two (2) hours from commencement of the race (cut-off time). Cut-off times will be set at specific check-points along the route to ensure the safety of runners who are unable to complete the race within the two (2) hours. Participants who are still on route and choose to continue running after the cut-off time, do so at their own risk.

14. Pets, bicycles, in-line skates, prams, push carts, shoes with built-in or attached rollers and any other wheel-run objects are not allowed on the course other than special needs kids that required wheelchair at official race and medical vehicles.

15. Once registration has been duly processed, there will be no fee refund for participants who do not eventually participate in the Event for whatever reason.

16. The Organiser reserves the right to use any photographs (including those of participants), motion pictures, recordings, or any other media records of the Event, for any legitimate purpose including commercial advertising and distribution to Sponsors anywhere in the world.

17. The Organiser will not entertain nor be in any way responsible for any disputes arising from incomplete or inaccurate entry details in the registration form.

18. Participants are strictly not allowed to transfer their race entries to another party or change race categories after their registrations are confirmed.

19. Participants must be 12 years or older as of Event day to participate in the 7km Charity Run category.

20. Participants must be 3 years or older as of Event day to participate in the 3km Fun Run category and it must be accompanied by at least a parent.

21. Knowing that every possible care of participates will be taken, and participates will not to hold the organiser in responsible for any mishap or accident that may occur due to circumstances beyond the control of those in authority.

22. The Organisers will not be responsible for any loss and/or damage, personal or otherwise, to the belongings and items deposited at the event baggage storage provided for the runners. The Organisers also reserve the right to check any item or baggage deposited.

23. Runners need to finish the events within a certain time to be eligible for a Finisher Certificate upon presentation of their bib number to the respective officials and it must be collected on Event day and no requests will be entertained thereafter.

24. The cut-off times for both 7km and 3km are 9.00a.m.

25. Organiser reserves the right to deny entry to any participant.
